N.E.D. (No Evidence of Disease) is a band comprised of 6 gynecological oncologists who are committed to raise awareness about gynecological cancers. Their CD, which was released on September 8th to because September is designated as National Gynecological Cancer Month.
The music on their CD is inspiring and reaches right down and touches the heart. I really enjoyed track 3, Rhythm Heals. I found the lyrics of this song to be extremely soothing and uplifting. This songs is encouraging and inspires hope.
Third Person Reality, track #5, was a riveting account of someone who may have just received a serious diagnoses. As I listened, I could feel the emotion of the woman whose life has just been changed in an instance. All I can say is that this music is powerful.
N.E.D. is performing live on November 8th at the Gynecological Cancer Foundation's inaugural half marathon in Washington, DC. For those who aren't able to run a full 13.1 miles, there is also a 5K race and a 1 mile walk.
