I keep thinking that's what I need...a stay-cation. Vacation where I stay home. But I have a feeling if I did do something like that, I'd spend it working around the house and in the yard or something!

Can-Can

You arfe so right. I look atg my schedule as a bit of a grid and in order for me to have balance, I have to have time in that grid for: movement (walking and dancing), food (home-cooked mals eaten at the dinne table), exploring (places in my home city to explore - from enighborhods to museums to the dozens of free concerts), and my creative pursuitgs (writing and home decor pursued via garage sales and Craig's List). Work will always assert itself in my life, so I make sure that these other interests have their time as well and I make sure I do them every week!

You are so right! I always find that when life feels out of control, if I can tackle one of those "odd chores" that linger in the back of my head, (ie: clean out a closet) then I feel more energized and calmer.

I can definitely relate as I am also a self diagnosed workaholic. Right now I'm planning to go on a vacation with my family to recharge for my next project.
